What is it about three girls that makes strangers pat Ethan on the back and give him this pathetic “I’m sorry look” ? Is three girls really that bad? Strangers are drawn to the baby carrier, and when they get a peek that this one is a girl too, they have to show their disappointment for the Daddy. Well, this Daddy is okay with his girls. This Daddy gets on the floor and wrestles and tickles. This Daddy loves the excitement they show when he walks in the door. This Daddy loves their hugs and kisses. This Daddy can put on tights and fix hair clips. This Daddy can name all the Disney princesses. This Daddy loves them all and wouldn’t change a thing.
Thanks for taking care of all of us.
Every girl loves to be “Daddy’s girl” or “girls” in your case. Just ask Papa Conner. Ha! Ethan, you do a wonderful job and those girls will grow up looking for boys who are just like their dad!!!!
Ethan wears tights? Still?
I agree Nana! And honestly, I can’t even put on tights, so he must be paying attention.
I think it’s funny that strangers (an not so strangers) seem to think it’s okay to voice their own disappointment or negative feelings about things that have nothing to do with them. Who asked them anyway? And look at that smile on his face… I don’t think you could find a happier daddy! XOXOX
Yeah for girls! And there’s nothing sweeter than a daddy and daughter that adore each other. I laugh everytime I hear Matt playing the My Little Pony matching game with Morgan: “Does Pinky Pie go with Twinkle Twirl?” 🙂
Good for you, Ethan!
I hear ya! God knew what He was doing!!!
I think a house full of girls sounds like fun! I wonder if it’s really disappointment the people are expressing? I will admit that certain thoughts do cross my mind, like how life will be when they start dating. Three young ladies in the same house, all dating — what an adventure that will be! I hope Ethan knows how to beat the boys off with a stick! I bet that’s what the people are thinking — that you have one big adventure in store for you what with 3 beautiful girls. Or it could be jealousy — I don’t know a man who doesn’t long for a daughter (or 2 or 3!!). Just my $0.02.
I also have 3 daughters-Madalyn, age almost 8, Loraly, age 5, and Sophie, age 1. I just found out that I will be having another one in September. Everyone I tell ALWAYS says, maybe THIS ONE will FINALLY be the boy. It really hurts my feelings, and hurts my feelings for the baby because WOULD IF it is another girl–are they not going to love it because it is ANOTHER girl…So sad. I wish people could just be grateful and thankful for what they have. I love my 3 girls more than anything, as I know you do. My husband is very similar to yours–loves to dance around with the girls, play dress up, Barbies, tea parties, etc. Everything I could have ever asked for in a daddy to our children!
