The Heavenly Daily News
from Aunt April
It was an exciting day here in heaven last week. The
sun was shining, as always. The birds were singing,
always do. And the excitement in the air was building.
It was the birthday of one of heaven’s precious
children. Noah Whaley was turning 3. It was the
birthday of many others, that’s true, but an
excitement builds in heaven for the children when Noah
Whaley has a birthday.
Every May 3rd, children run to the edges of heaven to
see and hopefully get a balloon, and Noah is no
different. His dark hair pushed from his angelic face
as he ran at full speed to heaven’s edge. “Wait for
it” he told the other children.
Within seconds balloons started arriving in heaven.
Children eagerly reached and grabbed the string, each
carrying a message for Noah. “I love you” one said, “I
miss you” said another. Each message was in a
different voice, each message conveying the love the
sender had for Noah.
By the end of the day, each child had received a
balloon and shared it’s message with Noah, who by this
point was covered in cake. Angel food cake of course.
Noah finished this exciting day in the arms of Jesus.
He ran to Jesus with all the messages that had been
sent that day. Jesus examined them one-by-one. He
fashioned all the messages into a blanket and covered
Noah with it. And so Noah slept, surrounded in his
family’s love.
Absolutely beautiful! Thank you, April, for the words and the picture they paint for us. I know that Noah has been on the mind and heartof each of his family -parents, sister, cousins, aunts/uncles, grandparents – this past week. There is not a day that passes that we don’t look at the sky and clouds a little differently or wait for a rainbow after a rain. He is so loved.
what a sweet picture-Noah is such a loved little one.
Very cool. Thanks for writing that April and thanks for sharing it with us Julie. I am so glad you guys are home safe from your trip. The pictures are awesome and are gracing my desktop as I type!! 🙂
That was beautiful.
I love having the balloons & the rainbow to connect to him. Mason & I talk about the rainbow leading up to heaven and we release our balloon to Noah every time after we go to the store. (HEB always gives him a balloon) Mason says, “Here Noah!”
love you-
It surprises me sometimes that you can love someone you have never met. I look at Noah’s pictures from time to time and still wish I could’ve kissed his sweet face just once. I believe that Heaven has received and welcomed Noah just as described by April. What a touching story…
We eat at a resturant here in Abilene that gives out balloons. My daughter who was born two months after Noah has to get one, but not for herself- for Noah. We go outside and we let it go just for him. After reading this I love to think of him standing at the edge of the clouds as balloons fly up to him. I can also here Jesus as ballons come up over the clouds calling out to Noah, “someone else loves you sweet Noah, here is there balloon.” We miss him along with you and even though I have never met you or had to opportunity to meet him I think of him often.
BTW- I am in Sunday school class with you brother and have commented before I just didnt want you to think I was some crazy blog stalker! 🙂
Absolutely beautiful! I agree the imagery of this is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing!
