Let the trimming begin

This is our first in several years to buy a real tree. We made the switch to artificial a few years ago and never regretted it. However, this year my tree along with a few other items sit missing Christmas this year. They are in my parents garage in Houston. So we picked out a real tree this year. I love the smell, but I dislike the endless needles that fall on the floor and the constant water feedings. But we will make it work for this year and look forward to our “family tree” joining us next year.

  1. You always inspire me to get to work. We are putting up our first family Christmas tree this year (there was always some excuse about why we could not have a tree up). We debated, real or fake, cleanliness won out. I can’t wait to see our beautiful fake tree all decked out. I love all the updates and pictures. Miss you all.

  2. I feel a bit responsible. Your tree is on its way…..sometime before next year! It was good to see you Thursday. Your house is adorable!

  3. No matter how it happened, we rejoice in the fact you have a real tree. Just think of how you were a factor in fulfilling that Tree’s calling in life, to bring joy, happiness, smiles, branches for balls, and needles for you to vacuum. Your Tree says thank you.

  4. Would you like to come to N Fort Worth and hang up my Christmas decorations for me? They are currently sitting in boxes…in the hallway…below strips and strips of blue painters tape that has been up since, at least, August. So, would you like to paint also?

    Your home looks very festive!
